Looks like AJ is spending her Sunday on butterfly patrol :D

Part of my 5x7" series of the mane six for the school art show
This was really fun to draw! especially the hair..
I was planning on having the butterfly's reflection in her eyes but got lazy.
Sorry to all my watchers for not uploading anything for a while! lots of assignments where due in :S

Comments are appreciated as I love reading what you guys have to say and any opinions/advice is always very helpful :iconraritysmile2plz:

Very cute, AppleBeard! As always, I'd advise darker shading to create more contrast between Applejack's skin and her hair. The shading on the hair behind her neck is better, and shading the other edges of her hair a touch darker like that wouldn't hurt. Perhaps a small shadow on her neck under her chin and in her ear. And lastly, the outer rim of her hat could be rounder. It appears rather flat at the moment, like it's being pressed into the back of her head. That's all! If my constant barrage of opinions/advice starts to get on your nerves, let me know and I'll be happy to stop. Cheers!

Again, I'm flattered! To tell you the truth, what initially drew me to your deviantART work was your patient and kind attitude towards your fellow artists, not to mention the fact that you humbly welcomed other artist's suggestions or criticisms. Believe me when I say that taking a few minutes to assist a promising artist such as yourself is not a burden in the slightest. Rest assured that I will continue to offer what help I can, though there may come a time when your art becomes so good that I can't find a single flaw to correct. Perhaps one day you'll be the one giving me advice! :) (Smile)
